The Washington Nationals are looking to strengthen their bench, according to a baseball source close to MLB.com’s Bill Ladson. Among those that the Nationals are interested in, include Willie Bloomquist, Aaron Miles and Miguel Cairo.
Ladson later adds that Washington had interest in Geoff Blum, but he is supposedly close to signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

According to John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Reds have signed free agent infielder Miguel Cairo to a Minor League deal.
