In an announcement by the team, the Baltimore Orioles have designated infielder Blake Davis and left-handed pitcher Mark Hendrickson for assignment to create space on the roster for right-handed pitcher Jeremy Accardo and left-handed pitcher Clay Rapada.

In order to to clear a roster spot for Troy Patton, a source close to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports says that the team will designate Mark Hendrickson for assignment.
The 37-year-old Hendrickson was 1-0 with a 5.73 ERA in 8 relief appearances for the O’s this season.
