    Los Angeles Angels designate Paul McAnulty for assignment
    Larry Stone of The Seattle Times says the Los Angeles Angels have designated Paul McAnulty for assignment to make room for Maicer Izturis who was activated from the disabled list. McAnulty, 29, hit .136/.174/.273 in 8 games for the Angels this season.

    Angels sign Maicer Izturis to three-year $10 million contract
    Lyle Spencer of MLB.com reports that that Los Angeles Angels have extended the contract of infielder Maicer Izturis through the 2012 season.
