    Derek Lowe charged with DUI
    According to the Associated Press, Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Derek Lowe was charged with drunk driving on Thursday evening.     Cleveland Indians designate Jordan Brown for assignment
    The Cleveland Indians have designated outfielder/first baseman/designated hitter Jordan Brown to make room for the recently signed outfielder Austin Kearns, according to Jordan Bastian of MLB.com. The Indians signed Kearns to a one-year contract on December 20, 2010 for $1.3 million. The 26-year-old Brown hit .230/.272/.310 in 87 at-bats over 26 games for the Indians in 2010.
