The Tokyo Yakult Swallows have formally announced the signing of outfielder Lastings Milledge according to a Sanso report (passed on from Patrick Newman of NPB Tracker.) The deal is worth $750k with unknown performance bonuses included as well as a club option for 2013.

The Chicago White Sox have designated Lastings Milledge for assignment on Thursday, April 7, according to Mark Gonzalez of the Chicago Tribune. The team has also called up right handed reliever Jeff Gray adds Gonzalez.
Gonzalez reports on April 12 that Milledge has cleared waivers and has been reassigned to Triple-A Charlotte.

According to Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports, the Chicago White Sox have agreed to a Minor League deal with Lastings Milledge. He will receive an invitation to the Major League Spring Training.
Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports adds that Milledge will earn $500,000 if he makes the team, and that he won’t receive any incentives.
