    The Chicago Cus have agreed to a one-year. $800,000 deal with Todd Wellemeyer according to a Major League source close to Bruce Levine of ESPNChicago.com. Wellemeyer was 3-5 with a 5.68 ERA in 58.2 innings throughout 13 games, 11 starts with the Giants in 2010. He was released by the team on August 17, 2010.

    According to the official San Francisco Giants Twitter page, the Giants have designated right-handed pitcher Denny Bautista for assignment to make room for right-handed pitcher Todd Wellemeyer. Wellemeyer was reinstated from the disabled list. Bautista, 29, was 2-0 with a 3.38 ERA in 30 appearances for the Giants this season.
